The LHC is rapidly constraining the parameter space of the Standard Model with a sequential fourth generation. The correct identification of the allowed parameter space requires the combination of data from direct searches for the new fermions, Higgs decays, single-top production, flavour-changing processes and electroweak precision physics. Due to the high production rate of single-top quarks at the LHC this production mode becomes available for detailed studies and the expectation |Vtb|>0.99 of the three-generation Standard Model can be tested with high precision. The workshop addresses theorists and experimentalists working on a fourth generation and single-top production.

The workshop takes place in the conference hotel Leinsweiler Hof in the village of Leinsweiler near Landau, see www.leinsweilerhof.de. The venue is located in the pittoresque landscape of the Palatinate Forest with many medieval castles such as Burg Trifels, where Richard Lionheart was kept for ransom in the year 1193.
You can reach the Leinsweiler Hof by taking a train to Landau (Pfalz) and a taxi for the remaining 8 km (for 10 to 15 Euro). Landau is approximately 120 km away from Frankfurt airport and there is a train connection (which takes 1:43 h) once every hour.
The workshop fee is 230 Euros for registrations until February 9, 2012, and 280 Euros afterwards, to be paid in cash upon arrival. The fee includes accomodation (for two nights) and full board. Late registrants may be accomodated in other hotels in Leinsweiler.
