Technology Transfer as an Ecosystem by Mauro Zambelli from the European Spallation Source (ESS)

Technology Transfer is not something that happens at a specific point in space and time. It is rather an ecosystem, where different beings live together and feed off each other. To demonstrate this, Mauro Zambelli, the Head of the IK Group at ESS, will describe how Kyma Srl, a spin-off company of Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste was established and progressively grown from its beginnings in Trieste to the rest of Europe, to the United States and China, becoming a world leader in its field and a successful example of technology ecosystem development.
