New technological developments often are enabled by advanced functional materials. Particle accelerators generate unique insights and opportunities, e.g. to
- Understand & optimize your materials
- Analyse surfaces, interfaces, defects or degradation
- Or to look at nanostructures for innovative applications
Join us for a deep dive into how particle accelerators push forward the development of advanced materials for new innovations and competitive products. This workshop is jointly hosted by the Helmholtz innovation platforms Hi-Acts and SolarTAP, bringing together experts from industry, materials science & accelerator techniques.
We invite industry representatives, R&D specialists, innovation enthusiasts and researchers!
We will kick off with an introduction into particle accelerator-based services and techniques show-casting real-world use cases in a variety of sectors such as photovoltaics. In a casual and interactive setting, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about these top-notch microscopes for their field, to network with leading experts, to explore potential collaborations, and gain first-hand insights into cutting-edge research for your business.
The second half of the workshop will feature interactive, themed breakout groups, allowing participants to shape discussions based on their interests. A guided tour the BESSY at Helmholtz Center Berlin will offer a close-up look at one of the world’s premier synchrotron facilities.
The workshop follows the Solar TAP Industry Day on 21 May at the same location. All participants are invited to join the Solar TAP Industry Day, or the networking dinner to get a head start! For registration go to www.solartap.de/events
