Thinking about your career after the PhD?

Three half-days of explorations and personal encounters with visits to leaders from different sectors of work in Hamburg will broaden your perspective – on what you have to offer and where you might go.

Throughout three half-day workshops, participants of the Navigator workshop will get the opportunity to think about their career trajectory after earning the PhD. You will be encouraged to take a broad look at this upcoming transition. Some of the guiding questions include:

  • What skill set do you bring to the table apart from specialized academic training?
  • What about your communication skills and your ability to network?
  • How comfortable are you negotiating diversity and conflict?
  • What exactly does it mean to be in a leadership position?
  • What overall values are important to you as you think about your future workplace?
  • What professional opportunities may you discover “off the beaten track”?
