Description

In this presentation, a brief overview and introduction into recent developments of deep learning for medical image analysis will be presented. Shared architectural design choices and potential limitations of methods for learning-based segmentation and (multi-modal) image registration will be discussed. Finally, I will give an outlook for the benefits of shared geometric representations that will be part of an upcoming joint BMBF project between DESY, UzL and HZG.
