Single Particle Imaging (SPI) with intense coherent X-ray pulses from X-ray free-electron lasers has the potential to produce molecular structures without the need for crystallization or freezing. I will present results from the Linac Coherent Light Source's Single Particle Imaging Initiative and a perspective for future plans and directions for the SPI technique at the LCLS-II.
