Description
Organic electronic materials are of great interest for future technologies. In fact these materials allow for the construction a new generation of ultra low-cost, light and even flexible electronic devices. We will discuss inelastic x-ray scattering (IXS) measurements of the electronic excitation spectrum of single crystals of an organic semiconductor, copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) at room temperature. These single crystals have shown directional dependent excitations. Also some phonon studies of organic superconductor ?-(BEDT-TTF)2-Cu(NCS)2 will be discussed where some phonon shifts has been observed above and below the critical temperature, Tc. Furthermore we will discuss some crystal fabrications relevant to IXS.
