Dynamic X-ray Diffraction & Spectroscopy Experiments at Extreme Conditions: Implementing time resolved experiments for 3rd and 4th generation light sources

<font-size: 10px;"> In December 2010 the Extreme Condition Beamline (ECB) at PETRA III (3rd generation source) received first beam and entered the commissioning phase. At the same time the High-Energy Density Matter Experiment (HED) at the European XFEL enters its design phase. The aim of this workshop is to gather experts conducting dynamic diffraction and spectroscopy experiments at extreme conditions (e.g. in the DAC or with shockwave lasers) to discuss the implementation of time resolved experimental techniques at the ECB at PETRA III with the intention to transfer these technologies to the HED once the XFEL becomes operational in 2015.
