Description
Coherent diffraction imaging CDI) is an x-ray microscopy method which uses computer algorithms rather a lens to form the image of a sample. The evolution of coherent imaging into a robust microscopy technique has been in a large part due to the development of dedicated coherent imaging instruments at synchrotrons. These instruments are often designed to employ variants on the standard CDI methods. I'll describe three of these variants: Fresnel CDI, ptychography and Bragg CDI, and discuss their advantages in a soft x-ray coherent imaging microscope.
