The Russian-German Nanodiffraction beamline (P23),  located in the recently built Ada Yonath experimental hall, went into the commissioning stage in November 2017 and will become partially available for user proposals in the spring call 2018.

The scientific case of the beamline concentrates on physics and chemistry of systems dominated by low dimensional and confinement effects, materials and processes under non-ambient conditions, in situ / in operando techniques.

The undulator source and optics are optimized to deliver up to 1012 photons/sec in the energy range 5-35 keV in moderately focused beams and also provide variable beam spot sizes on the sample down to 1 micrometer and below. The optical layout includes a LN2 monochromator, plane and collimating mirrors and  CRLs in the optical and  experimental hutches. The first experimental hutch is equipped with a heavy-load 5+2 circle HUBER diffractometer which can carry sample cells with up to 150 kg in the horizontal scattering mode and up to 15 kg in the vertical mode. The beamline instrumentation pool is aimed for multiscale analysis of nanostructured materials and devices. A state of the art LAMBDA detector with GaAs sensor and time resolution up to 2 kHz will be available in the nearest future.

In this workshop, we plan to present the status of the new Russian-German Nanodiffraction beamline,   make plans for the future beamline development and discuss the special user requirements.
