This course is a continuation of Gisa's beginners class (newcomers are welcome, though). It will enable you to build a strong foundation in German. You will acquire language used in everyday life and practise new vocabulary while learning the necessary grammatical structures and pronunciation rules. Students should be prepared to participate actively and also to do homework assignments inbetween the lessons. By the end of the course you should be able to handle simple social situations.

When: Wednesdays, 5:30-7 pm from 15 April 2015 - 8 July 2015
Where: Bahrenfeld campus, building 61, room 116 (first floor)

The course is reserved for doctoral candidates of the PIER Helmholtz Graduate School, who are interested in a language class with an ambitious pace. The number of participants is limited to ten. Postdocs and PhD students from other graduate programmes in the PIER reserach fields may also participate upon request.

Membership in the PIER Helmholtz Graduate School (PHGS) is open for all PhD students from the research fields Particle & Astroparticle Physics, Nanoscience, Photon Science and Infection & Structural Biology. You can find more information on the PHGS here.
