The DESY Science Day is a tribute to the scientists and the work they do at DESY. All DESY colleagues, our collaborators and friends are invited to join us for this festive event, where we will:
- celebrate recent scientific highlights from DESY research,
- recognise lifetime and other achievements,
- including the PhD Thesis Prize of the Association of the Friends and Sponsors of DESY (VFFD),
- welcome newly appointed leading scientists, and
- enjoy this year’s “Jentschke Lecture” – in memory of Willbald Jentschke, the founder and first Director of DESY in Hamburg – held by Prof. Dr Karsten Danzmann (Director at Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics, Leibniz University Hannover)
