Description
We study the SUSY-breaking soft terms induced by closed string fluxes in chiral bi-fundamental fields laying at 7-brane intersections and F-theory local matter curves. We discuss several applications of our results like hypercharge dependent scalar masses and flavor-violating soft terms. The size of closed string fluxes also suggests an Intermediate SUSY breaking scale around $M_{ss}\simeq 10^{10}-10^{13}$ GeV. We show how this high scale is compatible with a Higgs mass around 126 GeV and the high inflation scale suggested by the BICEP2 results. Following these ideas we propose to identify the inflaton with the heavy MSSM Higgs boson. The potential has an approximate chaotic inflation form and trans-Planckian field range is achieved in a way analogous to monodromy inflation. We implement these ideas in some toy models of D7-branes at singularities.
