X-ray scattering and spectroscopy have become key techniques to reveal structure and dynamics of magnetic materials. In particular the advent of X-ray Free-Electron Laser sources and the last generation of storage rings offers the possibility to study ultrafast magnetic processes with coherent X-rays.
The 14th DESY Research Course will provide an introduction to the recent developments in the field of magnetic materials under X-ray light. Special attention will be paid on modern experimental techniques and scientific applications. The course addresses master and PhD students, young research fellows, as well as interested scientists.
Registration is free of charge and the number of participants is limited. Applications for this course should be made not later than March 13, 2015.
