Description

This course will enable you to build a strong foundation in German. You will acquire language used in everyday life and practise new vocabulary while learning the necessary grammatical structures and pronunciation rules. Students should be prepared to participate actively and also to do homework assignments inbetween the lessons. By the end of the course you should be able to handle simple social situations.

The course is reserved for doctoral candidates of the PIER Helmholtz Graduate School, who are interested in a language class with an ambitious pace. The number of participants is limited to ten. Postdocs and PhD students from other graduate programmes in the PIER research fields may also participate upon request. Membership in the PIER Helmholtz Graduate School (PHGS) is open for all PhD students from the PIER research and competence fields. For more information see here.
