Journal Club: The simplest model for dark matter?

Felix will  review some recent papers (in particular http://arxiv.org/abs/1412.0258 and http://arxiv.org/abs/1412.1105) on Higgs Portal models, i.e. the idea that a dark matter singlet interacts with the Standard Model via Higgs exchange. He'll discuss various experimental constraints and point out a number of discrepancies between different analyses in the literature.
