N=1/2 domain walls and Yang-Mills instantons in heterotic supergravity

Description
The talk will begin with a brief advert for a class of Calabi-Yau
4-folds, which we classified recently and which are potentially
interesting for F-theory. In the remainder, I will discuss a certain
construction of higher-dimensional Yang-Mills instantons on G-structure
manifolds and how they arise in solutions of heterotic supergravity in
the presence of first order \alpha' corrections. These solutions
correspond to N=1/2 domain walls from a four-dimensional point of view.
