The first internal 'Open Lab Day' at DESY Photon Science is organised for all colleagues from FS. Colleagues from EMBL and HZG will also participate. This day will offer an overview on the diverse activities at DESY Photon Science and the possibility for an exchange of information.
Up to now over 20 different labs, beamlines at PETRA III and FLASH and workshops at DESY-FS, EMBL and HZG, volunteered to open their doors to show their capabilities, tools and current projects. It is a good opportunity to meet colleagues from all participating groups and to see the spaces, usually not open to visitors. On the same day the Hamburg Photon Science Colloquium takes place, featuring a talk on the "The CheMin XRD on the Mars Science Laboratory Rover Curiosity" by D. Blake (NASA, USA).
The 'Open Lab Day 2015' will take place on Friday, 3 July 2015, from 9 to 15h. Please register before 1 July 2015 if you want to see the labs, beamlines and workshops.
