Description

Addy Pross, professor of chemistry at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, and NYU Shanghai, China, will give a scientific colloquium on Monday, 5 October 2015 on "What is Life? How physics enables chemistry to become biology". His book "What is life?", published in 2012, has been received very positively by a wider public audience around the world.

His scientific colloquium is part of this year's interdisciplinary PIER Graduate Week, which takes place from 5-8 October at the Centre for Free-Electron Laser Science. The graduate week addresses mainly PhD and MSc students, but the colloquium is also open for a non-student audience.
