Description
Porting complex device servers from one control system to another is often a major effort due to the strong code coupling of the business logic to control system data structures. The MTCA4U control system adapter allows writing applications in a control system independent way, while still being able to update the process variables and react on control system triggers.
The scope of the meeting is to give an update of the current functionality, to discuss possible application scenarios and the features which have to be added to achieve this. It is a follow up of the control system sessions of last year's kick-off meeting of the Helmholtz Programme "Matter and Technologies" https://indico.desy.de/sessionDisplay.py?sessionId=16&confId=11168#20150224, and of the ARD-ST3 Mini-Workshop: “SRF controls and CW operation” https://indico.desy.de/conferenceDisplay.py?ovw=True&confId=13427.
This meeting is a satellite session of the 2nd annual meeting of the Helmholtz Programme "Matter and Technologies", held at KIT in Karlsruhe. https://indico.desy.de/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=12924
