Location and Travel Info
  • Munich is located in the south eastern part of Germany. Munich airport (MUC) is very well connected to all major destinations in the world. Munich is connected to the high-speed train network ICE of the Deutsche Bahn. Most destinations within the city of Munich are easily reachable by public transport.

  • The Workshop will take place at the Fakultät für Physik, which is located in downtown Munich, close to the City center. Hotels, pubs and restaurants as well as museums, shops and subway system are all in walking distance.

  • Travel to the workshop:

  • From The Airport
    • Subway (S-Bahn S1 or S8) direction City Center (Direction Innenstadt/Richtung Innenstadt) until the Station "Marienplatz".
    • Then change and take the subway (U-Bahn) line 3 (Direction Olympiapark) or 6 (direction Garching or Fröttmanning)
    • Until the Station "Universität" (2 stations)

    From The Main Station(Hauptbahnhof):
    • Take the Subway (S-Bahn, many lines)  until the Station "Marienplatz" (2 stations)
    • Then change and take the subway (U-Bahn) line 3 (Direction Olympiapark) or 6 (direction Garching or Fröttmanning)
    • Until the Station "Universität" (2 stations)
