Description
Timing and synchronization systems are crucial components for the successful operation of the Energy Recovery Linac (ERL) at HZB known as bERLinPro and foreseen to start its commissioning phase in autumn 2018. The systems are used not only to synchronize different processes but also to time-stamp, to distribute reference frequencies and triggers to sub-components, and to ensure overall coherence of the ERL. The proposed poster describes fundamentals and basics of the systems, the ERL requirements, and the adopter strategy and technology.
