Description
The main task of PITZ facility (Photo Injector Test Facility at DESY, Zeuthen site) is developing and testing of photoelectron sources (photoelectron guns) for free-electron lasers like FLASH and European XFEL.
The operation of the multiple gun prototypes discovered the presence of photoelectron beam asymmetries in transverse shape and projected emittance between x and y planes.
The studies of the source of transverse beam asymmetry and its compensation by a pair of normal and skew quadrupoles are presented in this poster.
