We are pleased to invite you to the InRoad Regional Workshop in Hamburg on the 1st and 2nd of March 2018.
InRoad is an H2020 project that seeks to contribute to a better harmonisation and synchronisation of priority-setting, funding and lifecycle management of Research Infrastructures (RI) through the exchange of best practices among the main stakeholders of EU Member States, Associated Countries and also at European level.
Within the project's activities, a series of regional workshops are foreseen to bring together local scientific communities and representatives from public funding organsations to:
• identify the main bottlenecks during the different RI phases
• discuss the importance of the national roadmap process, its timing and funding
• share experiences with regard to the long-term funding of RIs
• provide recommendations for the improvement of RI funding
The coordination of regional, national, institutional and EU frameworks should not become and obstacle for the development of research infrastructures (RI). With this in mind, the two-day event will help gain an understanding of the issues faced by RI Operators with respect to the different funding schemes and will deliver recommendations to improve RI funding in the next EU framework programme.
