Description
After a brief comparison between the use of the kappa framework and
effective field theory (EFT) to extract couplings at colliders, we
discuss the prospects of measuring the elusive Higgs trilinear
self-coupling at the LHC and future colliders.
In order to achieve this goal in a (mostly) model-independent way
we use EFT to parameterise potential new-physics effects.
The bounds we extract take into account both the
usual Higgs pair-production channel and the recently revived idea to use
higher-order corrections to single-Higgs processes.
