Second Chinese-German workshop on FEL Science and Technology

Description
This workshop is the second of a newly launched workshop series on FEL science and technology to bring together Chinese and German FEL communities around the existing or upcoming FEL-facilities in Hamburg/Schenefeld and in China. The workshop is organized by the five institutions DESY, European XFEL and SINAP, ShanghaiTech University and CAEP.
The event opens on Wednesday, 20th of June 2018 with a Young Scientist Forum with lectures and tutorials on FEL science. The 2nd Chinese-German FEL S&T workshop will start on Thu, 21 June 2018 with plenary and parallel sessions and ends on Fri, 22 June 2018 in the late evening.
Objectives of the workshop are:
• Further identify, define and prepare concrete areas, actions and joint projects of FEL S&T cooperation – also within the framework of the DESY-SINAP joint lab
• Strengthen and shape the collaboration across the German-Chinese FEL communities by launching first cooperation, coordination and support activities
The key questions to be addressed by speakers are
• How do you envisage the collaboration on the topic you will address (exchange of personnel, time line, with whom…)?
• For this collaboration what kind of resources do you need?
