Description

The second iteration of the Any Light Particle Search (ALPS II) is a light-shining-through-a-wall experiment at DESY which aims to detect laboratory-generated weakly interacting slim particles (WISPs). One such hypothetical particle is the axion-like particle, a dark matter candidate hinted at by astrophysical observations. ALPS II, currently under construction in the tunnel at HERA North, will achieve novel sensitivity to these elusive particles.
