Description

The 2012 observation of the Higgs boson expanded our understanding of how elementary particles acquire mass, but measurements of its properties are crucial for confirming the validity of the Higgs mechanism and very well may provide evidence for new physics. This poster presents a number of ways in which the DESY ATLAS group has been testing the predictions of the Higgs mechanism, underscoring the challenges involved in the data analyses and how we are learning to overcome them.
