Description
The high-luminosity phase of the LHC will involve huge numbers of simultaneous collisions. A large section of the upgraded ATLAS silicon strip tracker, which is designed to handle these conditions, will be assembled at DESY. We present the full chain of the silicon strip tracker construction at DESY, including sensor testing, module building, core manufacturing, module-on-core loading, production of electronic interface boards, insertion into end-capstructure, and the global assembly frame.
