Description
Graphene is an attractive optoelectronic material owing to its high charge carrier mobility. Ultrashort terahertz (THz) pulses interact strongly with charge carriers in graphene, allowing to determine graphene‘s photoconductivity on ultrafast timescales. Moreover, charge carrier heating is highly efficient already when moderately strong THz fields are applied. This process can be used to generate higher harmonics of THz radiation with extreme efficiency.
