The PIER Helmholtz Graduate School (PHGS) is the home of PhD students of DESY and the University Hamburg in the PIER research and competence fields Particle & Astroparticle Physics, Nanoscience, Photon Science, Infection & Structural Biology, Theoretical Physics and Accelerator Research.

It is our pleasure to honour our graduates, and to welcome all new PhD students to our school with its more than 350 members from all over the world.

With this reception, we would like to thank all of you who make the graduate school such a lively community for exchange, learning and research.
