Good Research Practice - The new DFG Rules

In 1998 the DFG published the first version of the "Recommendations for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice".  In 2013 an expanded addition was published and implemented at DESY together with the corresponding HGF rules by the directorate. After major re-working the DFG released in August 2019 new "Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice" which all universities and non-university research institutions will be required to implement in a legally binding manner to be eligible to receive DFG funding.
In this talk I will start with an overview about the currently valid "Rules to Ensure Good Scientific Practice at DESY and Procedures in Case of Scientific Misconduct" and give an outlook on the new rules DESY will be required to implement. The focus will be on the changes and new requirements. Finally I'll report on the current activities for implementing the new DFG "Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice" at DESY.
