Description
Currently, the P08 beamline is mainly serving users for x-ray diffraction and scattering experiments on solid and liquid interfaces in both hard and soft condensed matter. Within this workshop we would like to discuss how these activities can be continued and extended at the new PETRA IV storage ring. To prepare Scientific Instrumentation Proposals (SIP) for the new PETRA IV beamlines we would like to discuss science cases and the required instrumentation exploiting the extraordinary beam properties of PETRA IV for new x-ray diffraction and scattering experiments on surfaces, interfaces and thin films. The workshop will be held as an online meeting with 2 afternoon sessions on September 21st/22nd.
