4th dCache Workshop

This dCache workshop is jointly organized by the dCache developer team, the dCache competence center of the German grid initiative D-Grid, and the storage support group of the HGF Alliance 'Physics at the Terascale'. This workshop will focus on performance optimization, but will also cover the topics of cost calculation, hot replication, info provider, check sum module and transfer parameters. In addition, there will be a presentation on future developments of dCache. Registration is open until March, 31st. The number of participants is limited, so please register soon ("first come, first served"). For the hands-on tutorials, virtual dCache machines on a local cluster will be used. Participants will work in pairs or groups of three and will use their personal notebooks to access these machines via SSH. The workshop fee is 50 Euros, to be payed in cash in Wuppertal.
