In order to support and expand complementary and multimodal chemical analysis techniques at PETRA III, we have launched the Virtual Instrumental Analysis (VIA) laboratory. VIA integrates various instruments that are distributed over PETRA into a common framework and will provide standardized infrastructure and unified access for users. The workshop serves as an introduction to the new VIA laboratory and gives an overview of the existing and/or desired devices at the various beam lines.
