Description

I focus on a recenly studied quantum phase transition in flavored N=2 SYM on S^3. I describe the general set up of our holographic study. I briefly review the nature of the phase transition and discuss the meson spectrum of the theory with emphasis on structure of the spectrum at vanishing bare mass. I discuss the cases of both 1+3 and 1+2 dimensional fundamental fields. I discuss the effect of an external magnetic field on the phase transition. I describe the phase diagram of the theory and analyze the meson spectrum.
