Description

The beamline P66 is a final part of the PETRA III extension project [1]. The first works on the P66 beamline development started 8 years ago. The goal was to relocate very successful SUPERLUMI station for time and spectrally resolved luminescence investigations from DORIS to the PETRA synchrotron. The P66 will operate in the UV- VUV spectral region (4-40eV) with nanosecond temporal resolution.

The commissioning and the first user run of the P66 are planned for the end of the 2021 year. The P66 beamline key parameters, layout and timeline for the commissioning/user run preparations will be presented. The VUV beamline with time- resolved luminescence spectroscopy studies specialization, which will use modern digital timing methods should make experiments more convenient and efficient for more than 20 scientific groups from all over the world.
