Description

With the legacy ATLASSIAN/Stash and the new Gitlab service, DESY offers two centrally supported git software management systems to users.

The aim of this meeting is to bring together users of these systems, and inform them on the two systems, and especially on the roadmap of the services.

      Stash & Bamboo were introduced some years ago in the context of the deployment of collaborative tools from the ATLASSIAN suite, and has been embraced by many users.
      A special emphasis will be put on future of this service in light of the licensing policy and general direction of the ATLASSIAN suite.

      Presentation of the new Gitlab service 20m

      End of 2020, DESY has started with a pilot Gitlab system.
      In June 2021, this service has reached production readiness.
      We will present the service, including the CI/CD components, and put a special emphasis on future developments.

      Migration Stash -> Gitlab: First experiences 10m

      Some users already have migrated their repositories and workflows from DESY Stash to the new DESY Gitlab service.
      We will show how this worked, what the pitfalls were, and give feedback / advise to other users.
