2 Persons sitting over sheets of paper between two laptops Introduction to Science Management

A job in science management is one of the top career tracks for young PhD’s and Postdocs. But how do the day-to-day working activities of a science manager really look like? Which employers, specializations and career perspectives are there? This workshop gives an overview of the German academic system and combines information about science management with exercises preparing for entering this interesting field in a condensed manner. Over the course of the workshop, reflecting on your individual professional profile, you are enabled step-by-step to decide in favor or against a career in science management. Please be aware that, while this course is offered in English, the vast majority of science management jobs in Germany require a good level in German language.
