Description
Measurement systems usually include a variety of different sensors whose data need to be processed and merged into a consistent frame. This task can be accomplished with the aid of a software pipeline subsequently followed by sensor data fusion. A particular challenge is the interaction between the pipeline and sensor data fusion. In this talk, approaches and methods for sensor data fusion with the aid of a software pipeline will be explained. In this context, the individual aspects and steps that are required for sensor data fusion will be listed. As a sample application, the results obtained by the optical surveillance of a conveyor belt with different cameras will be presented.
