Description

Quantum Chromodynamics can feature nontrivial topological structures (instantons). The mean-squared density of topology or "topological susceptibility" at very high temperatures T=400 to 1100 MeV may be important to cosmology. I show what challenges lie in its determination nonperturbatively on the lattice, and I present an approach to overcome those challenges via reweighting, which I explain in detail.
