Koszul duality is a fundamental algebraic phenomenon with many incarnations and applications from representation theory to algebraic geometry and mathematical physics.
I will begin by considering an elementary algebraic example involving polynomials in one variable. This example generalises vastly and will naturally lead us to different versions of Koszul duality and further key examples, culminating in a correspondence between differential graded categories and a class of curved coalgebras.
