From geometric to classical Langlands, via the trace of Frobenius

We will explain how the procedure of taking the (categorical)

trace of Frobenius raelizes the passage from the geometric to the classical 

Langlands theory. Combined with the geometric Langlands conjecture

(now close to being a theorem), this gives an explicit description of the

space of automorphic functions in terms of Galois parameters.
