The talk is aimed at presenting a review of recent progress on quantizing complex Lagrangian subvarieties in a complex symplectic manifold. The emphasis will be given to explaining why the modern language of mathematics becomes necessary, and how it works, when one tries to answer native questions about a simple case of quantization. The goal is to provide a vision that is formed with my collaborators (Olivia Durmistrecu, Justin Sawon, and Laura Schaposnik).
