I will describe black-hole ejecta and the nature of jets launched in microquasars and quasars.  I will show how the spectral binocular vision that comes from combined X-ray and radio wavelengths enriches our understanding of the underlying energetics, and discuss connections between plasma lobes in radio galaxies & quasars and ultra-high energy cosmic rays.
