Currently several versions of a Matlab code, originally written by Bernd Steffen for his PhD thesis, are used to simulate the expected signal of different electro-optical bunch length experiments at several laboratories.
The goal of this workshop is to
• discuss the current situation,
• define the needs, an (improved) concept and interfaces
• and, finally, distribute the programming tasks
in order to establish a documented, user friendly and more flexible (and less buggy) version of the simulation code.
A second meeting to merge the results is planned and scheduled for March 2011 at PSI, Switzerland.
