Description

Ultrasound Tomography (USCT) is an emerging technology for early breast cancer detection. At the Institute for Data Processing and Electronics of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology we recently developed and realized a new generation of a full 3D USCT device with a pseudo-randomly sampled hemispherical aperture. In this talk we summarize the concept, provide and overview on hardware components and show first imaging results with phantoms and first volunteer images.
