With the upgrade of the synchrotron radiation source PETRA III to PETRA IV, DESY plans to build a unique 3D X-ray microscope that will open up new possibilities for health-related research.

A PETRA IV is intended to meet the needs of science and business alike, we are organizing a thematic workshop with our partners EMBL and Hereon on present and future analytical methods and accompanying services for life sciences.

We will share the unique research and service possibilities for pharma, structural systems biology and medical technology at DESY. Besides, we will discuss your needs and key challenges and how to possibly solve them with PETRA IV in the future. After the workshop, we offer a guided tour to our current accelerator PETRA III.

PETRA IV will be a major investment for the German and international scientific landscape, which you can actively shape with us. To ensure that your company can also benefit from the analytical possibilities at DESY in the future, we would be very pleased to receive your confirmation of participation to our workshop by 31st January 2023.
