Description

In 2023 we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Louis de Broglie‘s matter-wave hypothesis, which inspired Erwin Schrödinger to formulate the quantum wave formalism that has remained our best description of non-relativistic physics until today.
I will review elements of matter-wave science from historic research  in Hamburg to our experiments in Vienna today, where we explore  the interface and interplay between matter-wave physics, physical chemistry, and biomolecular science.
