The School: This is a remote/virtual summer school offering physics data analysis projects in the area of LHC physics.
We will code measurements performed by LHC experiments into the analysis package RIVET. RIVET is a tool for easy comparison of theoretical predictions with measurements.
We will first learn basic features of proton-proton collisions and analysis tools, and then start working on concrete projects.
The results of the projects will be written up in short Analysis Notes, which are then submitted to the corresponding LHC experiments for approval, before the code will be made available in the official RIVET distributions.
The School will run over 4 weeks, from 7. Aug until 1. Sept. with afternoon Sessions from 2-4 pm CEST.
We will have introductory lectures in the first week and working sessions in the following weeks from 2-4 pm CEST.
Please use this room to connect.
